Why Won't My Garage Door Open?

Check power and remote
Confirm the opener has power, replace the remote battery, and make sure the wall lock button isn't engaged.
Look for a broken spring or off-track door
A loud bang followed by a door that won't lift usually means a snapped spring. A door that's crooked or jammed is off-track — stop using it and call a pro.
Sensor issues
